Belarc Advisor is a user-friendly software utility
which will be able to scan your computer hardware and software configuration
and generate a comprehensive report on the software and hardware status. It
will alert you to missing critical Microsoft patches and updates, on the status
of you antivirus, arrange useful computer benchmark tests, and much more. It will use the Center for Internet
Security (CIS) benchmark test to give the computer a score letting you know on
your PC overall security level, and will produce a final report, viewable in a
Web browser.
Not only does it
analyze software and operating system components and tell you where problems
are, but in its detailed report it tells you what your computer's physical
components are: not just how much RAM you have, for example, but what kind of
RAM and which slots are occupied.
Although Belarc Advisor’s information covers everything
imaginable, from network mapping and software versions to license keys and user
accounts, almost all options have further rollover information, there is a
guide to the symbols used in the report, and in some areas, such as system
benchmarking, you can click though to new pages displaying both your results
and explaining the tests.
The program is
not engaged in fixing found issues, but it will provide a clear advice on how

display the license keys for many popular applications (Adobe, CyberLink,
Electronic Arts, Microsoft, Nero, and many other companies are supported). Print
out the report, and keep it safe: if you lose the original CDs for an app then

All of your PC profile information is kept private on your
PC and is not sent to the developers’ web server.
