Freeware Portable Rizone Memory Booster

Rizone Memory Booster frees up memory in RAM by sending messages to Windows to clean up the workspace and for processes it no longer needs (Clear Processes Working Set). It is not a placebo memory optimization engine and will not force any memory out of RAM. It will continue to run periodically to help improve the speed and the stability of your system.

Rizone Memory Booster is one of multiple free and commercial software utilities promising to make the most efficient use of your system RAM, and make your system run faster and with more stability. Many authors even claim that they have the solution for you so you do not have to upgrade your memory ever again. Most of the developers are not totally truthful, relying on the placebo effect (if you think it’s going to work, it will), or trying to boost your system performance by forcing memory out of RAM.

Unlike its competitors, Rizone Memory Booster does not run on the placebo memory optimization engine and will not force any memory out of your ram. It will however make a Windows API call that tells Windows to clean up the workspace of all processes thus freeing up any memory, processes no longer needs (Clear Processes Working Set). It will do this periodically to help improve the speed and the stability of your system.

Keep in mind that this method will not free up a big amount of RAM, but instead will, as previously stated, improve the stability and performance of your computer. This will also cure memory leaks and in some cases has been able to unfreeze programs. Because it uses a Windows API call, you know that it’s safe to run and will not do more damage than good.

The utility is absolutely portable and can be run from the USB drive with no need to install it on the Hard Drive.

The software can be applied to all the Windows based computers, starting from Windows 2K and covering Windows 7 as well.

Main Options:

  1. Automatically free memory at alarm level:
If checked, program will when alarm level is reached, automatically free amount of memory selected in “Amount of memory to free (MB)”.

  1. Alarm RAM level (MB)
When this level is reached, memory will be freed depending on previous option.

  1. Amount of memory to free (MB)
This amount of memory will be freed when alarm level is reached. Also this amount will be available at popup menu option “Free RAM now (XX MB)”

  1. Number of retries if desired amount is not free
How many times the program will try to free the memory if desired level is not reached.

  1. Only if CPU usage is below this level (%) (0 - ignore)
This option is valid only for automatic freeing. If not 0, program will wait until processor usage is below selected level for at least 10 seconds, and then free memory.
